One piece ep. 825: This moment stays with me for an incredibly long time. After eating Sanji's food and hearing his reason why he can't return to the crew, Luffy punched him and said this. For me personally this is one of his most powerful and meaningful moment. I've witness how much a badass Luffy can be through his loss and fights, but this on straight up take the cake for me. "Say what you really want!" shows leadership, reflecting his straight up personality, the care and understanding for Sanji bullshit and his reason behind it.... Aww man<3 I love these dorks.

I read somewhere that he announced his retirement just so people won't bother him in his rest time. A grumpy old dude, godly talented though.
