Well here's the intake silencer I removed, so where it's wide is where it would fit into the opening for my CAI (Cold Air Intake.) My engine pulls air from the below the car, near the wheel well. So what this thing does is limits airflow and channels it to slow the velocity of air. The reason manufactures would do something so counter intuitive on my car is for acoustics. When you slow air and channel it, it becomes quieter.

I want to one day get one of those, jawa 250 and fix it up, paint it nice and just drive it on the weekend, first motorcycle i ever rode on was a 250 and i've just fallen in love with it.

It's already breathing from the ground. Also I'm getting forced induction here within a year, so it's breathing just fine for now. I may need to take a look at that coil pack, it maybe a bit shot.

what kind of turbo are you doing? i kinda wanna learn to tig weld and work with carbon fiber so i can make my own parts like headers and intakes.
