Philosophy Thread

This is where we talk about philosophy. Any topics regarding it are welcome. Let's start off with this: what is awareness/consciousness?

Um I think awareness is part of consciousness because consciousness is made out of your thoughts, emotions, feelings and stuff like that. I may be wrong though.

"awareness/conciousness" is two words, seperated by a symbol. Or a grouping of pixels. Depending on how you look at it. Photons perhaps.

@sparkis Okay. Then may I ask you. Since you are aware of environment, a robot or plant has consciousness?

It's very debatable I suppose. Plants and robots in theory lack brain or something similar that is responsable for one's consciousness. Yet through the process of making an AI, the consciousness develops aswell. Though the consciousness is usually made out of AI learning how humans react to certain things.
