"Love" so colloquially called is really limerence and lasts for 6 months to 2 years. The fire runs out of fuel and only altruism keeps it together

A word is only a word. "Promise" is really promising the fulfillment if a promise. Only actions have meaning.

"Promises" are not to be trusted. Humans are fallible. They leave us in pain.
