To be perfectly honest, that's the type of situation you get in any community that has a large amount of people of a specific political leaning. It just turns into a giant circlejerk because everyone in there is just regurgitating the same opinions back to each other in this echo chamber they made for themselves. I've had the same experience in both far-left leaning communities and far-right leaning communities. It just gets plain tiring being in those types of servers because yeah, people aren't going to accept a different opinion. You're either on their side or against them, you can't simply have moderate views and agree with some things but disagree with other things. Which is generally why I never bother discussing politics with people on the internet. We just live in times where people feel the need to live in extremes and play identity politics all the time. It's really dumb, and I honestly suggest if anyone ends up in these circlejerk type communities to just leave. Nothing productive happens among people like that. :u
