Yes they totally are!! Both the cases assumes a continous universe and continous motion where every step can be broken down to further smaller steps! In dichotomy paradox the walker 'halves' the left over distance at each step thus requiring infinite steps to cover a limited distance, where in my example the walker 'halves' the left over time at each step thus requiring infinite steps to cover a limited time!!

In real world both of these paradoxes arent possible as far as current knowledge is considered.. as the smallest possible distance is 'plank distance' and highest possible speed is 'C'.. so we cant break length or time to further small parts once those are achieved.

I heard infinity is some kind of war or something.

@tabris.. convergence and divergence comes when we do a sum of the infinite series. I wasn't talking about the sum, the sum of infinite fractions from [0,1] is divergent. But the numbers in this infinite series itself is bound by 0 and 1. It starts just after 0 and ends just before 1 even though its supposedly infinite, if we take those limits to represent real life units like 0-1 metre then we get the dichotomy paradox! and when we take it as 0-2 second then we get the example i gave.
