Do people actually find love here?

John, I'm serious about finding love, but friendship is my preferred method of determining if I like someone or not, so that shouldn't be an issue. Friendship on a deep level is the key to a healthy relationship, and ultimately, my goal is to find someone who can understand and accept my quirks (no, not THOSE quirks) before I get into something I'm not prepared for. My last relationship was almost 8 years and I'm still friends with my "ex" (a word I hate because most people think breaking up means the end of a friendship) because we respect each other as people. While my next relationship will probably feel entirely different at its core, I'm hoping to keep that sort of friendship and respect consistent.
