Is it important for you that your girlfriend/boyfriend is an otaku too?

To me it doesn't matter as long as they don't make a fuss about me watching anime. Luckily tho my fiancé also likes anime but he's not into cosplay as much as I am (trying to get him to do some couples cosplays with me).

yeah, honestly. i feel like it would be easier to get along and trust said girlfriend/boyfriend if they had similar hobbies as i. such as watching anime, drawing, music, etc etc. although i dont really plan on looking for a relationship i just thought i'd state my view on the topic.

I prefer it. Whenever I date someone who isn't, they just spend the day calling me a nerd and make fun of people when we go to anime related gatherings, which makes me uncomfortable. They have to be at least open-minded that anime is a large part of my life.

it helps,but after reading the other reply's, its jerky to not talk to someone just cus they don,t like it right now, that may change, but its ok if it dose now, but if it is that important to you, GO to cons everyday use time magic!
