Things that shocked me in Japan PART 4_ (1) NOT ENOUGH SPOON AND FORK _ HAHAHA I know this sounds eh(?) But like for reals if you wanna visit Japan and you do not know how to use chopsticks you better learn now. They are not really the type to offer spoon and pork even when youre foreigners. And you wont likely see spoon/fork or utensils section in food courts. (2) PET CARE _ One thing I was sad about with my visit in Japan was that I did not see any stray dog or cat. LMAO XD My aunt said if youre going to own a pet especially a dog you need to register it to the city hall and you need to sign papers that youre going to take good care of it (bring it to vet, walk it every day, etc) AND it does not end there. Some authorities will actually check/visit you from time to time if youre truly being responsible. If not, government will get your pet. This system/rules 11/10 for me. (3) NO LINE INTENDED FOR PWD/SENIOR CITIZENS/PREGNANT WOMEN _ Im not sure tho if this applies to every place in Japan. But in places we went they dont care if youre pwd or a senior citizen, you follow the line like everyone else. No special treatment. But tbh I dont care much about this because I know how well they take care old people in Japan. Like the benefits they get from the government still 11/10 (4) DESSERTS _ Looks 11/10 but theyre not super sweet. And I want them to be super sweet. I was expecting em to be super sweet. But they average. 95% of the time is that they only look good. Lmao (5) TUNNELS _ Lots of mountains in Japan. They dont make roads around the mountains or like destroy the middle part, they just make lots of tunnels. They really preserve nature. Also my aunt said that the government/authorities already gave instructions to people what tunnel they would go in case another country bombs Japan again. Thats how well constructed their tunnels are. [PHOTOS_top view from Kawanoe Castle_Inside the castle was some sort of a museum as well, however there is really nothing much to see aside from few preserved things and pictures of the castle through the years. It’s super duper hot inside because everything is almost closed. Enjoyed the top view but yea it is scary for someone who has fear of heights]
