Me and Cuba. I like Cuba. I wish I was in Cuba right now. The omikron or alfa or omega can kiss my ass ...For you two, c and g, since i've been ranting on and on about Cuba without context. But the reason I like Cuba is pretty dumb. When I immigrated to Norway around 11, it almost felt like the first few years I was deaf and mute. Because I didn't understand what I was hearing and couldn't speak so people understood me. The few english words I could mutter wasn't much. I carried several books in my language to Norway, 2 of them was Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and Moby Dick, you see, I was borned pirate xD or at sea. My mother tried to make me read Harry Potter in Norwegian to help with the learning process, and it did help. The bad side is that if you've read Harry Potter before, it's really easy to finish them in one go. And then you're stuck with nothing. I don't really like reading thing on a screen neither. And then, TA-DAH, library card! Endless supply of books. I grinded through everything I could find that was easy to read like a person gone mad, every Stine RL book, xD that was a fun time. And then one day I came across 2 books that looked funny to me, Christine and From a Buick 8. For me right now The Dark Tower means everything to me, but Christine became my starting point journey to King's universe. It holds a dear place in my heart, and the car is a 1958 Plymouth Fury. I started to develope an interest of owning and driving a 1958 Plymouth Fury since my pre-teenage years. Now i'm a person who blend in ... Can't afford attracting attention by driving an old red american car around my small norwegian town, or a big one for that matter. But CUBA! if there is a place you can drive a flashy old car in the street not attracting any weird attention, it should be Cuba. I'm not the type to care what people think, but it's quite a nuisance to have people starring at you everywhere you go. I'm quite old now. This hidden thought of settling down in Cuba, opening a bar where i only serve thing i can serve, driving my 1958 Plymouth Fury with the window open so i can smell the salty sea, is there and it's almost like my escape place/day dreaming when shit get hard at work. So yeah, Cuba. That's why. And yes, she kills her owner. The wish of owning a car who wish to kill you is extremely dumb and funny at the same time, why I wish so I don't know why, hahaha ... see ya.

That is such a dumb reason, yet an amazing one at the same time. Holding onto a dream like that from childhood is so cool, or at least it sounds like it would be. I know we had talked a little about the language thing before, it seems like it would be soooo hard to have to move like you did and basically start over learning at a young age. But with all your reading you figured it out :p I want to get drunk at your Cuban bar someday. Reading this gave me all the wholesome feels btw.

@cac So dumb xD But so amazing. I mean, do you know anywhere else that's brimming with that kinda car? Nope. Cuba is the place. It wasn't that hard, i think the hardest thing was my ego getting hurt. Like I knew what was, but didn't know the words to express it so I just kept my mouth shut. Oh yeah. If you tell me I will stock your favourite beer. It's good that you felt wholesome :)

Yes I do actually, in the US where the cars come from! Lol. My beer I'm sure you haven't heard of, but I drink mostly Yuengling Lager when I drink.

@cac I don't think so, mostly just for car show now a day. But day to day live, not so much. You told me about the stick extinction, remember? No, I haven't heard of that beer. I googled it and it said :Yuengling is an Anglicized version of Jüngling, its founder's surname and the German term for a "young person” or “youngster”. But hehe, Yuen is cool xD

I guess that's true, old cars aren't daily driven here so much because they are expensive and unreliable. In Cuba they still do because that's all they really have from what I understand. Oh cool, I never looked up what the name meant, just that it's supposed to be one of the oldest breweries in the US.
