'Yami Shibai: Japanese Ghost Stories 6' https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1349/92953.jpg Synopsis: Umm... Ghost stories... Horror, Supernatural... Pretty self explanatory.

Hmm, perhaps. These are always interesting to watch.

'Satsuriku no Tenshi' Ep. 01 (Angels of Death) https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1786/91257.jpg Synopsis: 13-year old Rachel awakens to find herself trapped in the basement of an abandoned building. Without any memories, or even a clue as to where she could be, she wanders the building, lost and dizzy. In her search, she comes across a man covered in bandages. He introduces himself as Zack and he wields a grim-reaper like sickle. A strange bond is struck between them, strengthened by strange, crazy promises… These two, trapped in this strange building, don't know why fate has placed them there. But they will work together desperately to find a way out… __________________________________ This one is a horror/thriller anime. I wonder how long that guy practiced that creepy laugh. Lol, and I'm your doctor, you can trust me, I'm not creepy at all. This is a weird one. Got no idea what's going on. The animation style itself was good, but the plot is a mystery. If horror is your thing, give it a try, but the first episode was only so-so.

Most first episodes are hit or miss, or even in that weird 50-50 spot. I saw a Top 10 anticipated summer anime series (or something like that) and this was on it. So I'm willing to give it a shot.

'Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro' Ep.01 (Chio's School Road3) https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1819/92602.jpg Synopsis: This is a story of a nerdy bookworm girl on her way to school, as she's not getting to school any time soon. Taking her "usual" route to school, it becomes an increasingly unusual adventure, and all the more ridiculous as it carries on. It takes an unpleasant sentiment many can empathize with, the feeling of tardiness, and brings humor to it—making it a hilarious situation to look back upon. _________________________________________ An entire anime season about a girl's trip to school every morning.... And that's it... No really, that's the entire show. Oh, and yeah, it's a comedy.

I watched Satsuriku no Tenshi. I know some people were waiting for this because it is an adaptation of an indie game, and it seems interesting. I hope it delivers. I still haven't watched Chio-chan, but I like the manga a lot, and I like comedies, so I'm watching that for sure. :D

'Harukana Receive' Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1439/91363.jpg Synopsis: The story takes place in Okinawa, where Haruka forms a beach volleyball pair with Kanata. Kanata, who couldn't handle the pressure put on her by her short height, had given up on beach volleyball already, but is convinced by Haruka to step back on the sand once again and aim for the junior tournament. ________________________________________ Another girls sports anime, but this one has fan service written all over it. The plot seems typical, but it's animated and colored pretty well. What I noticed most of all was the odd eye coloring. It kept drawing my attention the entire episode. I wonder if they'll be able to keep up that level of animation and coloring throughout the entire season. I probably wouldn't normally recommend one like this, but they did some interesting things with the animation process, particularly the volley ball, and the sand. It's actually worth checking out from an artistic stand point.

'Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Nin no Ouji-sama' Ep. 01 (100 Sleeping Princes & the Kingdom of Dreams) https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/6/81749.jpg Synopsis: The heroine is a normal girl, until one day she is invited to another world and becomes the princess of the dream world, where people use dreams as the energy to live. One day, the dream world is being attacked by something called "yumekui" ("dream eater"), and many princes are being attacked by it. The heroine must wake them up to save the dream world, as the princes are unable to wake up due to having their dreams stolen. _____________________________________________ This is another cringing pretty boy reverse harem chick flic anime, complete with a talking animal sidekick. Seemed like there was almost a little bromance going on their too. The animation style wasn't bad. I'm just not good with this genre. I have a feeling this plot will have a lot of clichés.

'Planet With" Ep. 01 https://myanimelist.cdn-dena.com/images/anime/1112/91337.jpg Synopsis: There wasn't one. ___________________________________ I have no clue what's going on with this one. It's supposedly a mecha anime, but right now it makes about as much sense as FLCL. The main character is a kid that's living with some weirdos after he lost his memory. Some really stupid looking alien ships that looked like twisted stuffed animals attack. And then people appear that turn into weird mecha robot things.... It won't be on my watch list.

'Hataraku Saibou' Ep.01 (Cells at Work!) https://cdn.anilist.co/img/dir/anime/reg/100977-qXCh0qB9on52.jpg Synopsis: This is a story about you. A tale about the inside of your body... According to a new study, the human body consists of approximately 37 trillion cells. These cells are hard at work every day within a world that is your body. From the oxygen-carrying red blood cells to the bacteria-fighting white blood cells, get to know the unsung heroes and the drama that unfolds inside of you! It's the oddly relatable and interesting story that is the life of cells! __________________________ Is this supposed to be educational? Lol... It's actually pretty dang funny. I recommend it if you wan a laugh.
