Atheist but i like to play devils advocate so let me hit you with a logical argument
If you were truly logical you would be a theist because:
If you are a theist and you are right (there is a god) then after death you get into heaven eternal pleasure and happiness or reincarnation or whatever your beliefs are
If You are a theist and you are wrong then there is nothing after death
If you're an atheist and you are wrong then you go to hell and you get eternal torture and suffering
So a logical man would see that by being a theist you risk very little but being atheist risks a *hell* of a lot
TL:DR
Theist- right = heaven, wrong = nothing
Atheist- right =nothing, wrong = hell
So who is really the illogical ones them or us? xD

I think this thread is dumb, bait thread maybe. I have never been a fan of this militant atheist mind set of being all high and mighty and acting superior for having a lack of belief, it's never really been my thing.
But I do think however militant atheism has its place society, of keeping other religious militancy in check but like I said it's not my thing to belittle those who have faith and keep to themselves. I guess I just don't like the preachiness.

I'm Buddhist... so pretty much a happy Atheist..?
Also, "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it. Unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." ~Buddha
At the end of the day, we'll all die, so why not get on by believing what you want? Forcing differing opinions down the throats of others seldom accomplishes anything other than conflict. (Though I know plenty who live for conflict)

I've been an Atheist since I was in the 5th grade after an epiphany I had watching water going down a stream.
I don't care what others believe in as long as:
They don't push their beliefs on me.
They don't harm (physically and/or mentally) themselves or others. This includes harmful religious beliefs that oppresses people because of gender and sexual orientation.
They don't press their religious beliefs on my country.
They worship their beliefs on their dime and not mine or others who don't believe. You want to worship? Fine but, do it with no tax dollars. Churches are ran like businesses. They do bring in income. They shouldn't get any special exemption or tax cut.
It's sad that in my country, there's supposed to be a separation of church and state and that there no national religion but... it secretly (depending on how you look at it) wants everyone to be Christians... yuck.
Just my opinions.
