I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Do you ever wonder if animals in the wild have best friends? I just imagine a porcupine and a turtle becoming friends and discussing how they each admire one another’s defense mechanisms.

I bet birds gossip and talk about love to each other. Who’s in who’s nest, which bird had the most romantic song, or give advice to the quarreling young new couple.

They’re the romantics of the sky. I’m jealous of the way they can just fly away at any given moment. What freedom to have wings and not rely on airplanes or trains and cars.
