I'd totally buy a robot maid if I had the funds. But in my current living conditions I don't think it's legal to purchase another person. But if I had expendable money to have someone drop by once a week and tidy up my place, I'd be all over that. I would hire some if I ever have the money because chores suck. With a proper humane contract though. Human life should not be up for sale nor should paying people make it okay to treat them like shit.
