Horror Games

Hey Guys! Just curious as to whom here enjoys a good horror game and if so, which ones in particular. I heard there are a few really good indie horror games using the RPG Maker engine.

Three words; Minecraft: Story Mode. I heard Ao Oni is pretty decently scary, had a lot of hype around it for a good while. There were other RPG Maker horror games but Their names escape me. I was really scared of Nightmare Creatures (PS1) when I was a kid, though I doubt it would be scary now:

Oh wow! I totally remember Nightmare Creatures. There's an IP that needs to be revived. I'm currently playing through Misao and I actually have quite a few titles waiting for me since I looked around online to see what people were talking about. I will look into Ao Oni so thank you for that one.

I've played alot of good Horror Games. Outlast, Cry of Fear, Dead Space, The Evil Within, Silent Hill and so on :D. I love a good scary story game. Always fun to get nervous and excited.

Well I finished Misao - I liked it a lot more than I had anticipated. Outlast is something I need to try, I know if it's on the PS4 I can stream it via twitch. The more scares the better! BubbleSparkle - I feel the same way about horror games. story for me is a huge deal along with puzzles. I love to figure things out. I've played and finished the first Dead Space, played the Silent Hill series (unfortunately not all of them). Shoujo_zo - I'll be biased, but, horror is a really fun genre to play - you have to rely on a good story and atmosphere to stay immersed. I'm sure if you want to try a few titles you'll get many recommendations. VeZeal - I watch some youtubers too, mainly because it's super entertaining to watch. Getting scared too though can be quite amusing. I know I've screamed and cussed several times, and at the end it's pretty satisfying to play yourself.

I think I might've played a bit of Misao awhile back, is that by the same creator as Mad Father? That one I have played. Only because I watched a gameplay on youtube of it first & thought it looked fun lol Outlast I think is one I also watched a gameplay of, then with a friend one time a played a few minutes but he wanted the controller back, he hated watching lol I also watched him & a friend play ' Up Til Dawn' once, I was too shy to ask for a turn, I figured I'd be bad at it lol But I do want to see how that game ends sometime lol There's also this other one with fairytale characters i've watched a bit of... I forget what it's called.

I like horror games but tend to specifically lean towards survival horror. Like Illbleed, old Resident Evil, Haunting Ground, Dino Crisis, etc
