Well an example I've seen in a bethesda game or two, is the lit torch in the bottom of the ocean in a chest, it baffled me for a second or two then I realized it might of been done on purpose, game developers love to play jokes on their gamers

I'd say hugging random walls in games looking for glitches would translate amazingly well in real life.
