아저씨 While you're right on that it's a dating site, it just feels wrong to suddenly tell a bunch of users that they can't come here anymore due to no fault of their own. Personally, I feel that the community should just keep doing what they're doing. There's plenty of users here that will immediately expose a potential predator. And I absolutely love that about this community, we watch after our own until a mod comes and cleans up. Creeps are everywhere, sending them to a community that may not be as protective of its younger members as we are here can end up turning into a bad idea.

Okamiwan, you have to realize that all of us 20-somethings and 30-somethings on this site were nerds during a much less accepting time in popular culture. We get where you are coming from, or at least I do. While I agree with 아저씨 about this being a dating site and that minors shouldn't be on here because traditionally these sites are made for intimate connections for the older crowd, obviously this site was NOT created with this mind set. We can't control the actions of pedos or children, both of which seem to litter the internet, but we can do something about this site. Not saying, just saying.

Alright, so I'm obviously the unpopular side here. And spitfire, I can see what you mean. So in which case I still stand for the minors on here who are going to have a place they felt safe taken away from them. Lots of us have found friends on here, and found friends in a lot of the older users just like you. Lots of us don't have families, or don't like their families. In my case I don't have a family. But I found a place that I could be with others. Even now even though ginseng and (I can't type his name..) Mr. lettuce obviously strongly disagree with me, I still respect them because they're not only my superiors but they're here just like I am. Lots of us, not just me, like the community and the huge amount of diversity here. There are people in the introduction forum all the time coming and looking for friends~ all I'm asking is that you don't make us give up the friendships we've created here... Couldn't it be as simple as just making a 18+ tab of the website? Like a brand new branch of the site? And if you wanted you could add a 17- as well. And you can't access one or the other depending on your age. That way us minors can date other minors, you adults can date adults, but we can all still have a shared forum where we can talk and hang out. And as far as the private messaging system to minors, couldn't it also be easily solved by a chat filter from adults to minors? Or have more mod's/a place to easily submit evidence of inappropriate actions with a minor? I feel like removing us from the community isn't fair... We may not see eye to eye.. But that doesn't mean I don't like you guys! Lots of us minors made a place we feel comfortable and safe in... Where nowhere else is like that for us.. Don't make us give that up just because we couldn't protect ourselves from the scum of the world.
