Everyday is a new day but I do know Chinese parent like creating names for their children it has a great meaning. Like for example: when someone name fa choy it mean going to be rich. Normally the name are two syllables when pronounce it. I think your parent put angel as you are their daughter like an angel but probably wanted to make it special like anyone angel like a bless where people like you so put anyel and lina probably had some meaning which not sure since I'm not good at making names.

That's what you can call legit chinese parents xD I don't understand Cantonese so fa choy sounds like a swear word to me xDDDD back on track, ehhh my actual Chinese name is Yudian (raindrop) which probably doesn't hold great meaning since I'm the opposite of small D: then again, you seem to know more about Chinese culture than I do *-* I see your passion xD Such creativity xD That's a really good name interpretation- but I feel more like a demon than an angel. And its okay, i'm not good with names either ^^

Because I'm asian same as you so I understand what Chinese parent do the naming. They most likely want meaning in their name not a random names come out in their mind. I had a niece and nephew. My nephew just born not long ago. I try to come up the names with my cousin since she gave birth to him. Her husband last name is Pan and I did thought of saying why not Peter that way everyone know his name Peter plus Pan that is like the Disney Peter Pan. But she said no and keep wanted a name suit her little baby boy. I said, "what you want" so she said something that is short and simple with a unique name and great meaning.

Cool! And where from Asia are you from? I sometimes think of it that way too xD American names really don't hold much meaning, its interesting how they prefer meaning over the way it sounds! Oh, the perks of Asian culture xD They're even clever with things like names

Sadly to say, I'm not born from Asia since I born in America where people are too free and not enough good things going on. I don't like any of their talk since I never fit in the society.
