Oregon University Shooting and Gun Control.

I wish that the U.S. would follow Australia's example. They had one of the worst shooting incidents ever and reacted by changing things to ensure that it can't happen again. But here in the states shootings keep happening over and over. You would think that people might understand that you shouldn't let just anybody have access to deadly weapons. Columbine happened more than ten years ago, right? To me that looks like this - [We like our guns > We don't like (mostly school) massacres] Don't get me wrong though. I do like to go target practice and I think there is genuine value to be found there but we need to make some major changes. How many shootings need to happen before we learn our lesson? Edit: Also, a little elaboration on the Australia thing. When I heard about their gun control issue a good point was made involving the black market side of things. Yes, there will always be a market for these kinds of things but the laws that they have in effect raises the cost of bringing in illegal weapons. Enough so that your average mentally disturbed person wont be able to afford it.
