Anyone picking up the Phantom Pain this week? My CE shipped today but I probably won't get it until later in the week unfortunately. Been looking forward to this new game since finishing 4. ^_^

Just bought it! I'm gonna do a youtube video of me expressing my impressions of unwrapping the plastic and taking the disk out of the case¡
In all honesty I probably won't even touch it until my day off.

@Maverick , Your video card @ $579.99 cost more than my PC ( alienware alpha $399.99 )
I would totally buy this ...
but this time around I am going to WAIT
I am super on the FENCE about buying this on
STEAM when it on SALE since STEAM often have sales
or buying it on PS4 on Amazon where there is a SALE there . . .

Personally, I've never been a fan of stealth games - but with Metal Gear, I never really liked it for the game itself but moreso for its story and lore which I absolutely adore because of how in-depth and cerebral it is. But I just wish I loved the gameplay and I never did so it was definitely one of those series of games I played for the story. But as my profile picture would suggest, I absolutely LOVED Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to death. I've always loved the sword-combat style of games and it just fit perfectly with the Metal Gear universe especially when it comes to fighting the UGs because I absolutely adore the designs of the gears - one of my favourites being Metal Gear Ray. It was so incredibly satisfying being able to suplex a massive beast like that with your bare hands.
But The Phantom Pain looks like they really improved the gameplay and made straight-up combat a much more viable option than it ever was before which is good with me. I might pick it up when it goes on a fairly decent sale on Steam though £45 is just too much for me in my opinion.

Got my copy on the way. It's looking good and being open world makes for more variety in missions. I am going to enjoy being able to walk around the base unlike in Peace walker. I'm hoping you can use more of your units now. It should be good.

I got the day one edition I love this game, it is very fun and wasn't what I expected you'll know what I mean if you beat the story completely. But it still is very fun and it does feel like peace walker but waaay more interactive. The story development for the series was very entertaining. I know Kojima said this was the last one but I'd really love to see Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 be remastered.
