it's the only game where the story isn't the normal gta formula of a revenge story, it's more of a how the american dream actually sucks

The story is only one aspect. I would also look into the mechanics of the game. Shooting, driving, and basically how much shit you can do in the game.

If you look at it that way, GTA 5 is better. I like GTA San Andreas more cuz it was a huge part of my childhood.

The nostalgia factor is a big thing, but looking at it objectively, gta v did pretty much everything better.

No, looking at it subjectively. Gaming as an artistic medium is subjective. Some people think that 2D games with 30 fps is better then high resolution, high fps games. It comes down to personal taste. Personal taste is not an objective thing that is applied evenly to every person. Everyone has different subjective tastes.
