Yuki Kajiura, J-pop, and J-rock. That's pretty much what most anime openings are, coincidentally. Symphonic/classical/opera genres are all good. Pretty much any rock genre is good too, especially loved the 90's/2000's alternative rock. Love trance, eurodance, and techno, but hate dubstep. Sometimes like K-pop, but I'm really picky about it because most of it sounds a bit too much like rap/hiphop, and some throw in dubstep... it's pretty much the same for modern English pop music, where there's a few gems among the majority of music you hate.
