Killing Floor 2?

All my Steam friends are gaga over it. I haven't even played the first one yet, though I do have it. I need a new computer anyway. I got a crappy $400 laptop with intel integrated graphics. I'm making good money now so I'm looking at maybe: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BrHLBm

I've read all the reviews, since the R9 295x2 is a dual gpu card of the r9 290x gpu, it's much faster than a single gtx 980 at close to the same price (under $650 now). The single r9 290x is in between gtx 970 and 980 in performance. The dual gpu r9 295x2 is faster than 2x gtx 970 in sli and only slightly slower than 2x gtx 980's in sli which would cost over $1000. The 295x2 is the most powerful card under $1000 right now and the water cooling keeps it cool and quiet. I would only consider using dual gtx 970's of this model when it comes out: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/asus-to-offer-white-colored-geforce-gtx-970-turbo.html and only if it isn't too expensive, just because it would be almost as fast and fits my color scheme. The only issue I have with the 295x2 is that it's super power hungry. If I did two for quadfire I would need around 1500w psu. Also these cards are going to get a huge performance boost from dx12.

I would get dual 980's if I had the money (or a single Titan X that just came out) but I would have to spend over $1000. And what do you mean it doesn't bench mark as high? Here is a maximum overclocked 980 comparison: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2015/03/16/asus_rog_poseidon_gtx_980_platinum_vs_amd_r9_295x2/1#.VTg4XJPv2u4 Also I want to game at 2k and 4k in the near future and the 295x2 stomps the 980 more as you ramp up resolution. As I said, I might consider dual gtx 970's for the same price as the 295x2. But I'll also look at the 395x when it comes out this summer. (I don't care about a bit higher electric bill).

The link you posted doesn't show any real gaming benchmarks, only Passmark benchmarks which don't mean shit to me and links to very old reviews from early 2014 which don't into account that software and drivers have evolved massively in a year. The general idea is to get the highest fps in the most games at high resolution for the lowest dollars and in that way the 295x2 is the best in it's price range. Though I'm curious if you could beat it with overclocked 970s in sli as it would cost about the same. I may have to look that up.
