Gun control has been a hot topic since forever now. I want to get the opinions of multiple people since the majority of this community seems pretty educated. I want to touch on three topics.
High Capacity Mag Bans
Gun cannot be loaded (includes as long as the magazine is inside the gun; bullet doesn't have to be chambered). In some states, it's also considered "loaded" if the magazine and gun are both easily accessible and aren't separated properly.
And the modifications rule (ie. no sawed off shotguns etc.)
This is for a report and I need a bunch of answers from a variety of people pleaseeee
Thanks,
~Alan

Okay could you narrow down the question criteria in those 3 subjects?
High capacity mags is understandable seeing as the only reason for.one is violence. And no "it looks cool, or less reloads at shooting range" are not considered good criteria.
Weapon mods are dangerous seeing as they can be used to allow.certain weapons to be easily concealed.allowing criminals use higher forms of firepower when committing a crime.
The guns cannot be loaded part ... as long as there is no round in the chamber and the clip isn't inside I dont think there should be a problem seeing as it isn't loaded.

Well in Murica if you own a gun your probably on some sort of list: Individuals and groups which engage in or advocate civil disobedience or Second Amendment rights, including GOA, could be classified as "foreign powers" and subject to electronic surveillance for up to a year without the approval of any court. I own 3 guns, all rifles. A modified Mosin-Nagant, one unmodded and a modded Ruger. All my mods are largely cosmetic just so they look cooler. I only intend to use them to ruin some sheet metal's day. And perhaps any metal can that looks at me funny. I have no need for high capacity mags (I don't miss). No need for armor piercing ammo or any of that. I don't think the government is coming for my guns. I probably will get one more rifle and a handgun and call it a day.
If I had any complaints it's that it feels too easy to get a gun. I appreciate the 48 hour waiting period my state has for handguns at least. But until we have a way to track guns not much will change. It may not do much for illegal guns and it won't make a difference for responsible owners like myself. But it may at least put a dent in the number of incidents where a nutbar who legally purchased a weapon decides he wants to shoot up a school or mall. When it comes to guns and the US, we're kinduv in a post-Pandora's box state.

Just opinions on it haha @bound
Sure I can limit them
What do you think the max capacity of magazines should be? Most law enforcement issued guns are Glock 19s with 15 in the mag with 1 in the chamber, but civilians on most states are limited to 10 a mag for hand guns. Do you think that the mag cap should be highered to 15, why or why not? Drum mags are 100% illegal.
Gun modifications give guns a distinct advantage with concealment, fire power, and stealth. Certain gun attachments like suppressors are also 100% illegal. Gun mods can come in the form of an accessory or a trait. Sawed off shotguns, switching the firing pin in a hand gun so it'll go full auto, suppressors. Should the ban on modifications to the gun be less restrictive, why or why not?
Loaded guns have been known to discharge when not taken care of and with children around, having it loaded even in the house without it being extremely secure can be classified as a MD in CA (not sure about other states so I can't say it). In the car, the magazine and firearm have to remain separate and far away. Like one has to be in the glove compartment and the other in the trunk lol. Do you think that gun would be counted as "loaded" when near the vicinity of a magazine or loaded with a magazine without the bullet being chambered, why or why not?

The reason behind high capacity is to be able to fire more shots without reloading. In the military this is useful as you can engage more enemies for a longer time without having to make yourself vulnerable by reloading. Great logic for war. Not so much in the civilian sector. If you have to defend yourself with a gun, 1 or 2 shots will do it. Merely presenting a weapon is often enough to scare someone off if their intent was to rob you. In that light, extended magazines or high capacity mags are pointless. If you piss off that many people to where you need 15 rounds, ya dun goofed a long time ago. Or you just suck at aiming. If there was a ban on high capacity mags, I wouldn't loose any sleep.

Pass out guns to everyone and legalize murder for 24hrs. Good way to cull the population and create jobs (cleaning up the carnage).

My understanding on modifications is that the rule tends to be rather clear. Modifications to allow fully automatic fire (i.e. continuous fire for one pull of the trigger) is illegal. Modifications to shorten a rifle or shotgun beyond a set length is also illegal. Most other mods are fair game. A great deal of aftermarket parts do things like reduce recoil, reduce the amount of force required to pull the trigger and the like. The mod on my rifle actually made it bigger, lol. And in my state suppressors are legal with a certain license. But you do have to jump through some hoops to obtain one. All in all, I'm actually pretty satisfied with the state of the laws regarding legal vs. illegal modifications.

I agree with you completely. I might not agree with the silencer thing, I mean I personally can't see why a civilian would need a silencer. I bet your mod looks freaking sick. Making it bulkier will increase the weight, but you seem to know what you're doing, and I've only fired HK handguns and Berettas so as for 5.56, I have no idea how they work

Nah, we're on the same page with the silencer. No idea why a regular person would need one. Some argue that hunters don't want to scare away their quarry in the event of a miss. I say, shouldn'ta missed. There is an interesting argument about hearing protection at gun ranges though. Still I say regular folks are better off without em.
And for reference, here's my Mosin-Nagant 91/30, Molniya (молния):
