Pokémon if you count that. If not then Dragon Ball Z, or Gundam. Don't remember which came first.

Aside from Pokemon (which probably doesn't count since like every 90's kid watched pokemon), i definitely watched Code Geass first on a recommendation from a friend because i got bored and wanted to try anime :P

The first anime I saw was Love Hina. Really random, not sure how I even stumbled onto it. I just remember liking the Christmas episode a lot. After that, I watched things like Dragonball and Bleach. Since then, I've stopped watching all anime that have a crazy amount of episodes like One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail, etc. I'm more of a fan of short series.

Golly, I think the first anime might have been like... Samurai Pizza Cats? But that was like, the blurriest blur of my blurry life. The first anime I can honestly recall watching and have tiny memories of was like, Ronin Warriors? That or Dragon Ball Z of course, all of these were of course found on Cartoon Network at the time. The first anime that I actively watched that was a Japanese Dub with English Sub was probably Naruto when it first came out like, almost 15 years ago?

Macross but back then I thought it was a cartoon just like G.I. Joe's and dennis the menace. When I got into anime knowing what it truely meant, was when I saw evangelion.

2003 I believe, I remember coming home from school and running on a tread mill while watching Outlaw Star, Rurounin Kension and DBZ. Thank you toonami! What really changed everything was Trigun. First time I ever seen a character like Vash
