good less well known anime

not underrated, just hardly known ^-^ I recently watched shinsekai yori, and it was amaizing, but whenever i ask someone if they have watched it they usually haven't >.<

I agree Ryan Shigure & Miarin. It's hard to find a good anime that is based on a eroge/visual novel. I had my doubts that it would be a typical harem... I was completely wrong. It is an anime worth watchin'. Recently a friend gave me the Shuffle! Collection on DVD as a gift. <3 I can recommend an oldie but a goody: El-Hazard the Magnificent World (OVAs) It's an adventure/fantasy/comedy with some RPG-ish elements to it. Basically a student found ancient ruins underneath the school, and in a twist of fate, they and other students & a teacher are teleported to another "alien" world. Without giving away too much, it's basically them trying to find a way back home. The ENG dub is pretty good in my opinion. I know tons of old ones; which can be considered unknown now-a-days... :P
