Lolicon

Ok seriously guys fucking stop ok. EVERYTIME this topic is brought up this is what happens Group A: Lolicon/Shotacon is wrong because it depicts children in sexual acts, thus promotes pedophillia and should be banned. Group B: Lolicon/Shotacon is fine since it's fiction and no real children are being harmed. What about violence in fiction? Why is that ok, but not lolicon/shotacon? It's stupid and pointless, both sides argue and neither one will budge. I'm absolutely astonished that this topic is still going strong in spite of it being old. FOR FUCKS SAKES PEOPLE GIVE IT A FUCKING REST! THIS TOPIC IS GOING NO WHERE AND BOTH SIDES WON'T CHANGE THEIR MINDS JUST ACCEPT THE FACT THAT NOT EVERYONE VIEWS THINGS THE WAY YOU DO. JUST AGREE TO DISAGREE AND JUST MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE THAN SCRUTINIZING EACH OTHER ABOUT THIS! Jesus Christ!

@Kaizer, I know like 3 of them, but I only know one straight up lolicon, and yeah I can agree with was previously stated. The three shotacons go around saying how young boys are sooo cute and... well worse stuff too, and on online threads and servers on discord they’re met with very little backlash, where as my friend who is into lolis got harassed for it for a long time, tho that has ceased by now. I don’t support either, but I think the reason why lolicon gets such a worse rep than shotacon is becuase first of all, it’s just a lot more prevalent in anime and hentai shittu, there’s simply more of it, so I think more people have formed an opinion on lolicon whereas if someone would like shotacon, people would just be mildly confused/weirded out. Then also I think it’s the concept of people thinking that the boy depicted in shotacon “actually wants it” because he’s a boy right? What boy doesn’t want some feisty milf? But just like with lolicon that’s a shitty thing, just because the loli or Shota is depicted as wanting it, doesn’t make it any better, they’re still portrayed as younger kids, and younger kids don’t have the mental capability to consent truly as an adult so it’s still just as disgusting Anyway, all in all, kids (well in this case, not kids) stay away from shotacon and lolicon unless you want to be judged, for right reasons, and have uncle fbi put you on a watchlist. Anyway this was all over the place, I hope what I just wrote is even comprehensible XD

This thread was made to inquire about opinions, good or bad and create a bit of controversial discussion. The only oddity here is that it got necro'd after about three years, but it's otherwise just opinions that are exactly what OP was originally asking for/about. Ya can't let life twist your panties so tight, man.

Now personally I definitely see where tiger is coming from though his reaction was a bit too extreme. This topic in particular is always the same wherever you go so I can definitely see it getting old fast. It sure as hell has gotten old to me throughout all of the years I've seen it brought up in various other anime communities. What opinions are there even available to share here at this point that actually add to the discussion? Aside from the usual "it's wrong, people who like it are pedophiles" "it's not wrong because it's just a drawing, you can't call people who like it pedophiles" Personally I'm in the party of "don't really care, I don't have the energy to judge people because they get a hard-on over little girls in chinese cartoons." But that's aside from the point. It's just the type of topic where after a few pages you're basically beating a dead horse and there's no longer any actual constructive discussion on the matter aside from each side voicing the same exact opinions and using the same logic to debate over and over again.
