Brainwash yourself to say yes instead of no, so everytime you instinctively say no you say yes instead! Problem solved XD In all seriousness though that would be you're absolute best time/ option otherwise you're left with you asking him or waiting for a moment when the friendship wall gets a little blurry to make a move. I can guarantee you though that if you wait too long you're going to miss your chance, the sooner the better.

My only advice I can give, fear is a choice. Punch that fear in the face, so you can punch him in the face with all the love! In all seriousness, Karasu summed things up pretty well. You've gotta conquer that fear of asking them out, or saying yes, or your opportunity may be gone. Second chances happen, but they are rare and far between
