We could even go as far as to say the Deicide Legion is the main faction trying to find/start these events and complete them considering it takes them closer to their goals of slaying the gods (let's say the raid is the first opportunity to slay a god)

Deicide would be the main one. The other are zealots that are on gods side, if god put us here its his will for us to stay, so they try to stop the deicide legion. The Grey faction don't care either way

The Cynic Saints would be in it for the loots from the raid, so of course they would avidly try xD but probably not organized like. The Holy Crusaders definitely would do everything they could to stop the other factions from completing the event

Holy crusders- want to stop gods shenanigans Cynic saints- unorganized, most just wait around for the holy crusaders to do all the work. Some just plain don't care, or while not religious they like living in a game world and doesn't want to go back

I think the Holy Crusaders would work well as the main antagonists of the story, make their leader out to be a blind faith kinda nut or something.

Oh sorry, I totally switched holy crusaders with deicide legion. Yeah, main protagonist group is deicide. Antagonist are holy crusaders and the god(s) The leader of the holy crusaders is a nut job that people love to hate, and he has powerful subordinates that make for cool boss fights.

Lol, yeah I'm pretty sure plenty of people like to play the bad guy. So they can help with the character design and personality n what not

I'm trying to remember this religious fanatic antagonist from an anime...but I can't remember his name or the anime it was in D: he did a really good job of making people hate him, thought that he was the bees knees and stuff, slightly crazy and prone to violence.
