The Owl-theme is a pretty recent fad in Japan. Being a fan of owls, I wouldn't mind checking one out.
As for Nihon-no Coffee, I don't care for coffee much...but straight green tea without sugar or anything else added to it? I'd love to try that at least twice.

There's like Starbucks and stuff like that. I don't think there's any particularly special thing they do with coffee.
The themed cafés and restaurants are like everywhere in Asia. The only one I've been to is modern toilet in Taiwan, that was fun. I brought back a urinal drink cup thing for my nursing friend
