What's with all the Jew jokes?????

Comedy is all in jest. It doesn't make it right, but were all hard wired that way. Laugh at others misfortune. The thing though, if youre able to make fun of others for comedy, you should know and be able to make fun of yourself as well. It shows youre not putting yourself above others, plus people get a good laugh in return. Dave Chapelle is a fantastic example of this.

Exactly. I do make fun of myself in my show, what I say is relavent to situation and appropriate to the context. The kind of jokes I use on people are completely generalized. So that must be it. Generalized humor.Here's an example: whenever someone takes 2 cards from the deck I'll remark "don't be greedy, take one" of course I can get away with that since that has to do with the persnality I maintain when performing, which is why people have always enjoyed my humor when I perform. I've honestly never heard anyone in real life make a joke about Jews, and I live in a fairly conservative Christian area. I don't know if it's because the area has almost no Jewish people here to make those jokes with (or at, sadly), but it's just never been something I've heard people joke about, in good or ill nature. I personally fall into the Pagan category and don't mention it unless it's brought up by someone else. Even then, I try to deflect or give ambiguous answers. For me, religion is personal. Asking about it and talking about it are akin to discussing your weight, age, or how much money you make. It's just really none of anyone's business. Now, as far as your personal situation is concerned, you're probably going to have to talk to your friends about this. Nothing will change unless they know there is a problem. And yes, if it is bugging you this much, there IS a problem. Just discuss it calmly with them. If they're worth keeping in contact with, they'll understand. If not... maybe it's time for some new friends.

I wish people would just realize this: There are several billions of people in the world... There are people in the world that don't give a crap about anything you say to them. There are people in the world that will be offended if you look them in the freaking eyeball. BE YOU. You like being a magician? Do so and don't care about what people will be offended by. Because no matter what you do, people will be somehow offended. Why? Because I figure that humans like drama by nature.
