likes and dislikes in guys....

strawberry_soda
I hate the whole "nice guy" thing bc like 99% of the time they're actually assholes but I like it when guys are really compassionate and like the same music as me and if they play an instrument it's like wow yes With girls I literally like every type of girl like seriously they're all so cute I don't like when girls are anti-feminist though that's like an instant turn off like immediately. Same with guys.

I've never actually heard anyone refer to themselves as anti-femenist. Especially a girl, (no shortage of chauvinist guys).

The whole nice guy thing is not as inclusive as it sounds. There are actually legit nice guys out there more then 1 % I am sure that are bound by moral obligations or ethics, perhaps some form of event in their life that made them feel the need to be nice to others. When I do say nice guys thought that means nice to a person not the female gender to get their attention as a possible interest. I will agree that their are a decent sized portion of the nice guys you are referring to though. I am slightly humanist only for their values and perhaps some of their ethics since they have good ones. As for most equality groups I have do not give full support to one over the other either side can provide useful info and help said equality problems its all about negating the views you may carry on that one particular equality group and work together as a whole to truly meet any chance of getting out of this infinite loop we want to escape out of.

@vampire_neko, actually I think there's a tumblr that has women holding up signs about how they're not feminists because they still need men to open jars for them and stuff like that. But I think that's more of a misunderstanding of the term feminist than anything else. Also there's like a lady who's on youtube that a lot of male rights activists like to hold in high esteem because she directly speaks out against feminism. Which is both surreal and insulting at the same time... Honestly I think a lot of MRAs get second wave and third wave feminism confused. Feminists now are all about equality between genders. Besides, I'd give more credence to MRAs if they actually did something about inequality against males instead of spending their time bashing females.

@xueli agreed on the matter of male mras at least the mainstream ones which you are pointing out. However I find that both groups each have their negatives. You pointed out exactly what is wrong with the average mra they complain about everything and attack feminist stand points. No need to hide it. With feminist there is just so many different varieties you got. Its hard for the feminist group to properly stand for the face of equality when it is so divided amongst ideals. You could state thats a good thing saying it breeds new solutions and ideas but it misrepresents feminism as a whole while causing problems for it and others. For example you have your academic feminist over here on one side the the radical feminist on the other. The radicals are directing so much hate spew but unfortunately guess who will receive the bulk of that as a whole. The entire feminist movement not the radicals specifically since as you pointed out the average mra is going to put this whole all feminist view in instead of just different parts of it. I am neutral both towards feminist and mras . Partially a humanist but not fully only because they have their cons as well pays to never fully side with one over the other in my opinion since all have their benefits. Honestly I feel that this whole little skirmish between feminism and mras will pay off eventually if they keep conflicting ideas and such. But thats just a wild guess take it with a grain of salt.

Well that's true, you get radicals in every group.

Having known a lot of strong women, I guess I don't get the feminazis that blame all woes on men. I agree with Yu in that those are the ones people tend to think of when they hear feminist. It might not be right but they tend to be the loudest. Personally I have seen discrimination from both sides. I have seen women passed up for promotions that they deserved. I have also seen a hiring manager that only seemed to hire women. I don't think either is right, but I don't like legislation telling me who to hire either. I know that at times I am very opinionated about certain issues. One example is maternity leave. I don't agree with it, and the fact that some companies let men have it as well makes it no better. I view having a child as optional, like cosmetic surgery, and don't understand it giving anyone special privileges. I realize my viewpoint is different than the majority because I never wanted a litter, but still.
