Hmm... okay, what the heck. I'm 32 years old and divorced (just gettin' that out there, as I know it can be a big deal for some people). I've been on my own for a couple of years, and while I've been on a few dates, I just couldn't seem to really connect with anyone. Now that some more time has passed, I feel like I'm a little more willing to put myself back out there. I tend to get along best with people who share my interests, but I often end up working in remote areas where there aren't a whole lot of likeminded people, which is why I ended up coming here. Let's see... to give you an idea of what I'm looking for... Unfortunately, I can be kind of picky; which is probably not a great trait to have when I don't exactly cut the most dashing figure myself. It's not something I'm terribly proud of, but it's hard to overlook your preferences, y'know? Physically speaking, I don't mind a little bit of extra weight (not excessive), but I do tend to go for slimmer girls on average. Not that there's anything wrong with being more heavy set, it's just not what I find myself attracted to. I go absolutely *stupid* for redheads. I have a ridiculous love of red hair. Glasses can be unbelieveably attractive as well. The more important aspect is personality, which can often make me overlook any physical incompatibility. I like someone who speaks her mind, but is hardly ever venemous or hateful. Someone who genuinely loves people and sees the best in them. Someone who knows her worth and has passion and drive for something; who doesn't just want to be taken care of. Someone with a positive attitude and sense of humor that can offset my overly sensitive nature and help keep me upbeat and motivated. Someone who's not afraid to tell me when they think I'm being stupid or I need to get my act together. Someone who helps me be a better person. I think those are the things that are most important to me. It probably sounds unrealistic, but I'm well aware nobody is going to perfectly fit into this mold. It's just a reflection of the qualities that I value. As for me, my hairline thinned out quite a bit over the years, so I opted to shave my head and grow out a beard. It seems like a lot of women who are into anime seem to go for the more clean-shaven, hairless, six-pack look; but I definitely don't fit that model. If, however, you do find guys with a little more scruff attractive, then I've got you covered. I've lost quite a bit of weight over the past several months after having an appendectomy which may have created some digestive issues, so I can't eat very much at all. I'm now hovering at just a little over 200 lbs. Ideally, I'd like to get back down to around 180 or so and build back up some muscle. Do you like to exercise? Having somebody to work out with would do a lot for me, because I'm terrible about motivating myself to workout alone. I tend to be somewhat reserved and quiet until you get me going on something that I'm passionate about; then you'll likely have trouble getting me to shut up. Online, I tend to blather on and on... so my reserved nature can be a bit of a shock to people when we meet in person. Despite being something of a homebody, I really like nature, and will often go sit out beside a lake or walk a park trail when I feel like I need a little air. I'm really close with a lot of my family. My parents and I are on really good terms and I go back to visit them somewhat often. I like to listen to a lot of older music and classical, and I'm not really familiar with a whole lot of newer artists. I've never been fashionable or trendy, mostly because I grew up somewhat poor and am only now in a place where I can afford nicer stuff (I often need help to figure out what looks decent on me). My parents are berry farmers, so we were never very well off. Well... that seems like a lot of information; probably more than you need. But hey, if you think we might get along (even just as friends) feel free to give me a shout on here any time. Given my past, I'm not really looking to rush into anything either. Peace.
