What's your favorite Final Fantasy game and why?

haikaikan
My favorite FF game was Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSX. That game created my story idea on what I'm working with now. The story was so good, and since I love tactical games it fit right in with me. Sadly I could not beat the final boss but when it was remade on the PSP (the lions war) I beat it XD, i mean you could even get Cloud as a guest character. what more could you ask for?

Favorite was Final Fantasy X. It has one of my favorites, if not favorite, story of all time. I'm in love with the soundtrack. And the connection between Tidus and Yuna is so special and one of a kind in my opinion.

Final Fantasy X was completly epicness! I got the soundtrack as soon as I finshed the game :o. It's the best one (with numbers) XD loved that game, now I want to replay the whole thing

I haven't played the PS3 HD re-release yet. I heard they "remixed" the soundtrack, and that the enhanced graphics are awkward. But the new content, such as skills, etc. Make the re-release worth it. I haven't played in FFX since 2006, but I think I want to play reply the original version.

FF7 got me into gaming though the HD remaster of X/X-2 is right there with it never got the chance to play the international version of X and X-2 now i have since it has those versions, which are a lot better than the original X and X-2 versions that released here in the states.

Yea the X/X-2 HD version looks cool, it's a shame I don't have a ps3 (yet)

Mines is between Final Fantasy VI, VII, and IX.

Its a toss up between final fantasy vii ,final fantasy 6, final fantasy x for me. I loved x myself for the characters and story as for 7 it was good for its time not going by the hype either. Final fantasy 6 was one of the first ones I played. I really liked certain things about it as well I cant really decide on a favorite fully though.

6 had the best story of them all. 8 had a great story also, but was overshadowed by a crappy battle system, although the redeeming quality was it had the best mini game of them all. Triple Triad ♥ Main F2F games: 1: Classic. Cant say anything bad about the original. 2: Decent story, broken magic system. 3: To me, boring. Not terrible, but not memorable. 4: Great introduction to an in-depth story and character development. Music was great. 5: Awesome introduction to the job system. Story was above average and was a rather good game compared to 1-3. 6: Epic. Amazing story, Amazing character development, Amazing OST. Final Fantasy at its finest. 7: Decent game, extremely overrated. Everything they claim to be "original", came from previous games in various forms. Music was good, but nowhere near ad memorable as 6. 8: Good story, crappy battle system, Amazing mini game. 9: Average. 10: Better than the previous three in story, gameplay, and music. 11: One of the oldest MMOs still going, running longer than WoW. Hard to compare to other FF games due to being an mmo. 12: Annoying. 13 1-2: More annoying. Only redeeming quality was chupon and Ultros. 14: original sucked; AAR isn't bad, plays like a WoW clone though. Non-main games. FF legends: prequel to Secret of mana. Didn't count. Mystic quest: Good introductory FF for beginners to the series. Story wasn't terrible, various interesting characters, and some catchy music. Crystal chronicles: a decent game, bugging to really write home about. Rings of fate: an interesting, but average portable FF game. Echoes of time: see above. The phone FF (Don't know the name): expensive as far as micro transactions go. I'd avoid unless you are ok with the micro transactions. I'm sure I missed some, but they are probable not very memorable.

HHHHH I LOVED FF6 and FF8! Because of the storylines, oh shit. Best! More into Suikoden, tho. If we're talking japanese RPG, Suikoden is the best series ever made. Then there's Persona too, but Suikoden is just... Ugh. It's Suikoden. #nerd #stupidhashtags
