@Stellalina I agree with that entire last post of yours, however there has been a huge increase of perverted fucks out there lately. And frankly, I have less faith in 15, 16, etc, year olds these days. Compared to when you and me were that age, things are different now, and the younger generation has become more naive, at least the majority has anyway. I know many younger people who are far more aware than that of "adults". But the majority these days....ugh....

I came here because I'm a fan of anime and wanted to meet like minded people and have fun discussions, not to fight. It is irrelevant to me whether they put an age restriction or not on this site. Because regardless of whether you call this a dating site or an anime forum, most of the activity on here revolves around making friends and discussing anime, conventions, and cosplay. If someone is sexually harassing someone, regardless of age or gender, then they should be banned. If they do enact an age restriction then they will alienate a large number of people. However that is the choice of the site administrator.

If you truely believe what you say a you should have no problem debating your stance, and giving clear and decisive reasoning whit integrating kids with adults on a dating site is a good idea. Sorry, long post. Honestly, im just curious to know what he said now. Kids are innocent and don't understand much. They think they can understand it, but the fact is there are somethings you honestly don't understand when you are a kid under the age of 18 and won't understand. Its obviously not a childs fault if they are preyed upon by a pedophile and it is presicely why they shouldn't allow people who are younger to be on the site. But at the same time i think if you make good choices you can avoid being preyed upon. It's not just mai otaku. Its everywhere. I dont know if we're doing any kid justice to bane young ones here when they can just head on down to another social site. That being said, There are some good experiences that can be had here and I just dont think it fare to bane young ones from participating if they want to. You dont have to date anyone to chat. You dont have to give anyone your personal information if you dont want to. You dont have to meet anyone if you dont desire either. If your smart about it-it's okay. Personally, (im not saying my actual age), im over 18 and I think its fine if you know the rules. That's not just here but everywhere on the internet. The internet is made so all can see everything. That is precisely why it is called the World Wide Web. The only reason i dont agree with you guys is cause it's honestly open to everyone and every website has the same dangers. If a kid loves anime and really wants to have a normal chat with someone on the internet, I see absolutaly nothing wrong with that because we are all entitled to the world wide web. I just dont think its any better anywhere else if you dont know the rules. What we should be doing is just raiseing awareness and I honestly like how this thread has been going around so the topic is shown in brod daylight. Log out. The main page itself says DATING website for otaku singles, or along them lines. Dating sites are for 18+ strictly for legal reasons. Had this just been a "hangout", maybe it'd be different, but the lines are still blurred there. Bottom line, dating site, no kids.

Yeah i agree thats a great idea.... Sorry guess i didnt read all that. There are few websites that are good for otakus that's mainly why i didn't agree but if there was one like this just for social aspects i think that would be great.
