are otaku girls really hard to find?

I think the majority of women that are otaku are ashamed to show it. In my opinion guys have more passion for it. Girls get lost in relationships and RL while we get dragged into this otaku world and see RL as the fake world. So yes there out there but hidden. Otaku girls don't sign up to these websites cause most are shy. It makes it seem like there is more otaku guys than girls but really i say its the same......ok i've talked to much Toodle-Lu *walks away with 98cents*

This cant really be answered on a one answer basis. It all depends on the location and just how open you are yourself about it.

I look for someone I can cosplay with or play games with or is and die hard Otaku. Unfortunately the response I get is sorry your too ugly for me, no I don't think your my type, and trust me I try all kinds of women well expect trekkies... they scare me.

I've met a handful IRL, but none I could realistically see myself being in a relationship with. Although I have yet to attend a con (too nervous).

Eh it is true to find otaku girls outside of conventions, most to all never really talk about it... but even then its hard when you're shy to ask them out :/...

I see.. I never thought that many otaku girls would be shy, mainly because I talk about anime and manga all the time and even cosplay sometimes at school. I take pride in being an otaku and don't really care about all the people that snicker at me, that's their problem.There's also a nice little otaku group at my college with a few girls so I didnt realize it was difficult to find otaku girls:0

Depending on where you are...not that hard to find jailbait otaku...now try to find otaku girls old enough to consider dating a 37yr old otaku male...that is a rare find. Only found my ex gf so far (and she is only 23, was 18 when we started dating) we are still good friends but she has serious depression and anxiety issues which kill her sex drive. (I have a super high sex drive).

Even at cons, a good potion of the girls I see are 21 and under. Most aren't too comfortable dating the over 30 crowd so it really limits us oldtaku there as well. The handful of girl otaku closer to my age I've run into in my travels have usually already been taken.

Exactly Cecil, there are a few single older ones but hard to find and few of the younger ones would be interested unless you were rich/famous. I don't care much about age as long as it's legal but I expect a certain level of maturity and self reliance. Usually I prefer around 25+yrs.
