Cellphone required...?

Apparently entering a cellphone number is required to bypass Captcha and post status', ect. For others this may not be a problem but I do not own nor can I afford to purchase a cellphone. I just think this is a little unfair and should have some kind of alternative.

I don't think a cell is required. I make posts on my computer and on my 360. The caps are there to block bots. it also states under the letters "repeat the letters shown OR validate your mobile phone." Its an option. so forget it if your not going to use a phone.
