What's everyone cosplaying right now? =D

Aw well I've done that too. I'd rather hang out with people and cosplay at cons, buut being able to buy shit is really nice too xD. Hopefully next time you will be better funded. I can only imagine all the awesome things a con that size would have!

They had an area for people to play Dota2 and another for people to play LoL as well as all sorts of other little things that didn't have anything to do with comics, there was literally something for everyone

Oh wow, that sounds really cool. I'd like to go to a large multi fandom con like that sometime. We thought of going to Dragoncon in 2015. We originally wanted to next year, but it's so expensive that we're pushing it back.

AoT is my first time cosplaying and all I've been doing so far is improving on top of it. I have full manga version gear that I'm slowly replacing with anime version gear. Other than that, I've been looking into prop making in general, since there are so many props I want to make but do not fit the character, i.e. I don't think I have the resolve to wear crossplay and wear Junketsu but I'm interested in just making the sword.

Oh awesome! I really like your SnK cosplay. Looks great. I can't wait to have mine together. Working on it. Have the base of the jacket done, and making a template for the 3DMG. The manga version looks so much more simple, but I decided I'm going to go for the anime version. Lol I understand that. You could always do a genderbend of the character. I'm just getting into prop making myself. I've done sewing for awhile now, so I'm excited to tackle my next challenge.

The anime version's rear core (almost done) was a huge headache for me. Hence I went with the manga version in the first go since I was trying to make it for AX2013. The manga version is just a keg with tubes and brackets, lol. What material are you planning to make the gear with? Test your proportions on everything before you commit. My manga gear turned out ginormous, but that's because of so much inconsistency in the source art. Gah. AoT why you so inconsistent. And I'm thinking of straight up crossplay. Just so I can gross people out. It's part of the con experience, no?
