Yes, usually those that are rated above 8/10 are the cream that rises to the top. You can't trust the score totally but the rating gives one a good idea of the quality. I was introduced to a number of good shows by watching the shows at the top of the rating list. I also used to read the wikias mid-way through until I saw a spoiler doing it. Everyone has different habits though. Variety is the spice of life.
