It’s a new school year and Ryuuji Takasu discovers not only is he in the same class as his best friend, Yusaku Kitamura, but also Minori Kukshieda whom he's had an undisclosed crush on for quite some time. Ryuuji, the main character, runs into Aisaka Taiga who happens to live next door.

The story revolves around a poor high school student goes to the supermarket one day and discovers a Bento Box (boxed meal) on sale at half price. Just as he reaches to grab it, he ends up on the floor unconscious.

Events in After Story take place immediately after the end of the first part, but extends into the next ten years, where Tomoya and Nagisa live together as a family. Life continues on for Tomoya.
