Normally the manga goes much more in-depth. For example the Negima! manga was much better than all of the anime adaptations. That is probably because the manga is quite often the original source material. I wouldn't peg her as 17, wow. There are some people that just look really young though. That's awesome, so iDOLM@STER is probably on the watch list too. There are definitely a lot of idols in the series. That's a fun resolution. Trying new foods is a great way to broaden your horizons. I'm not big on New Year's resolutions myself, I'd rather try and do a thing throughout the year.
