MAL is definitely like that. A lot of people are just jerks on there. The only forums there I participate in are the One Piece and Fairy Tail forums. Comicvine is awesome though. There are always thousands of people online, and it's not just comics, most of the stuff I talk about there is anime/manga. And most people are really nice and intelligent.

I joined like 2 years ago, but only was on here for like a month then just stopped coming. Don't know what made me remember it, ha. And yeah it's great, I just wish there were more people in general, especially the forums. That's why I do most my chatting on MAL and comicvine.
