The story of Death Note revolves around a high school student called Yagami Light. His life changed when he saw a supernatural notebook that fell from the sky.

The story is set in Heavenly Host Elementary School, an elementary school that was torn down following the murders and disappearances of several of its staff and students. By the start of the story, another school called Kisaragi Academy has been built over the elementary school site.

Haruhi Fujioka is searching for nothing more than a quiet place to study in the most elite high school academy in all of Japan when she stumbles across the mysterious third music room. Inside she encounters six beautiful men, the members of the host club.

The story picks up after what happened in season one. Things that are left unexplained in the first season get explained in the new season in three separate arcs.

The endless cycle of murders has been broken and Rika is finally able to settle down for a normal life with her friends. However, she is involved in a traffic accident and wakes up in a world where everything is different.
