Tenchi decides to move to Tokyo in order to lead a normal life in the big city. While in Tokyo Tenchi meets a girl named Sakuyo.

Tenchi Masaki was a normal 17-year old boy until the day he accidentally releases the space pirate, Ryoko from a cave she was sealed in 700 years ago as the people thought she was a demon. In a series of events, four other alien girls show up at the Masaki household as Tenchi learns much of his heritage he never knew about and deal with five alien girls who each have some sort of romantic interest in him.

According to legend, a demon is imprisoned inside the Masaki Shrine in Kurashiki, Japan. When Tenchi Masaki, a student at the local high school and grandson to the shrine master, accidentaly breaks the "seal", he discovers that it is not just a legend!

Galaxy Police offiver Mihoshi's patrol ship is in hot pursuit of space pirate Ryoko, who is aboard her ship Ryo-Ohki. The two starships fight a space battle, and both are badly damaged.

In the near future, the oceans have risen, causing all land at sea level to be flooded. With the expansion of the oceans, humanity has found a new enemy in Zorndyke.

The story continues where it left off from the Eden of the East TV series, and brings Morimi Saki back to the USA in order to find Takizawa Akira. The other Selecao however are actively moving to take part in the game, and a few in particular are making dangerous moves in order to eliminate Takizawa or move towards their picture of a better Japan.

On November 22, 2010 ten missiles strike Japan. However, this unprecedented terrorist act, later to be known as "Careless Monday," does not result in any apparent victims, and is soon forgotten by almost everyone.
