Oh my! Someone from Canada! ;w; I am not alone... Yes, I've been somewhat on a hiatus. Work was very hectic during the month of December. Anyways, for the sugar glass: I've used 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup water and 1/4 cup corn syrup. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan set to medium-high. You have to bring it to a bubbly point.. once it's boiling, drop the stove temperature down to medium and simply stir. And stir. And stir. Seriously, stir for like half hour to forty-five minutes D; But then again, I've used a really old but powerful stove... so it was done around 15mins after the boiling point. You also have to look at the colour, if you see it as dark yellow.. start over. I had a hard time getting it to white myself, and tried like 3 times before I flipped the table and just went with the pale yellow (3rd batch). What also helps, I know it might sound horrible, but buy Crisco whitening to spread on a metal baking pan. If you use butter or margarine, the yellow colour in them will stain your glass as well.
