Based on the popular hack and slash video game by Capcom, Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is an anime series which aired on June 14, 2007 in Japan. Devil May Cry is a franchise which is roughly based on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, an epic poem from Italy.

In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. The extra episode is based on a side story of "Fullmetal Alchemist" manga published in "Fullmetal Alchemist Perfect Guidebook" (2003). Edward and Alphonse meet a blind alchemist named Jude who supposedly performed a successful human transmutation, resurrecting a young girl named Rosalie Harbinger.
