The story revolves around fifteen-year-old pilot Claus Valca and navigator Lavie Head, who fly their vanship as sky couriers in the nation of Anatoray. The world of Prestel, where the polluted atmosphere of the industrial revolution still lingers; where, underneath the wind and clouds, two countries, Anatorel and Dysis, confront one another in war; and where a terrible and exciting story is about to begin.

The series was directed by Kyoda Tomoki and is produced by Studio Bones, known for the production of many hits such as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and Boku no Hero Academia. In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally.

Ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto opens a mysterious book in her father's study and accidentally releases the magical Clow Cards. Created by the half-English half-Chinese sorcerer Clow Reed, the Clow Cards were sealed within the Clow Book upon his death and represent a combination of magic from Clow's mixed heritage.

Edward Elric makes a fatal mistake that drags his brother and his own body into an abyss, and they must seek the philosopher's stone to return their bodies to normal. They learn more and more about alchemy along the way during their adventures.
