Gatts, an incredibly powerful warrior, is a lone swordsman in a medieval-type fantasy world. He loses in a battle with a mysterious swordsman named Griffith, who holds a pendant called the Eye of God.

Shimazu Toyohisa, while involved at the Battle of Sekigahara, manages to mortally wound Ii Naomasa, but is critically wounded in the process. As he walks from the field wounded and bleeding, Toyohisa finds himself transported to a corridor of doors, where a bespectacled man at a desk waits for him.

Kenshi Masaki is the half brother of Tenchi Masaki and used to live in Japan, that is until he was summoned to the land of Geminar. The land of Geminar has been witness to an endless amount of wars that have been fought using Seikijin, bio-mechanical weapons controlled by a capable warrior called Seikishi and it seem someone has a reason for Kenshi to be in Geminar, but who and why are not known.
