For action: Twelve Kingdoms. It's 45 episodes long. In the beginning the main character can get bitchy but you'll come to love her by episode 8. For romantic comedy: Howl's Moving Castle and pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki. For yaoi, it depends whether you want implied yaoi or explicit yaoi. For explicit, that would include Loveless, Junjou Romantican, and Gravation. For implied, Hetalia, and I guess technically Code Geass and Death Note would count.
