Keima Katsuragi is an avid galge gamer known at his school as "Otamega" (a derogatory term combining the words Otaku and Megane) and on the internet a "The Capturing God." One day he receives an e-mail offering him a contract to "capture" girls.

After the outbreak of the unidentified virus "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand.

Kousuke Ueki, a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School, is picked by a God Candidate, Koba-sen, to participate in a competition where people battle out to become God and only the strongest will prevail. Embodied with the ability to turn garbage into trees, Kousuke will be joining in the battle against other junior high school students in this selection.

Set in the city of Misaki, Japan, Shakugan no Shana (Translated as Burning-Eyed Shana) is a story involved in the disputes of those from a parallel universe called the Crimson Realm. It largely focuses on Yuji Sakai, an average Japanese high school boy, who gets thrown in the Crimson Realm’s conflict by the accident.
